The Georgia Guard Insurance Trust offers voluntary group life insurance to Georgia National Guard members, with up to $50,000 of coverage across its plans and optional coverage for a spouse and children. Premiums come out of drill pay, and new recruits get $10,000 of coverage free for their first year. You can keep the policy after you separate or retire.
