The HERO (Helping Educate Reservists and their Offspring) Scholarship helps pay for college if you served in the Georgia National Guard or were a Georgia resident in the Reserve and deployed to a combat zone. Your spouse and children may qualify too. Awards run up to $2,000 per academic year and up to $8,000 over four years.
