If you hold a Georgia driver’s license or ID card and are stationed outside Georgia, you and your dependents can renew by mail instead of coming back to the state. If your document is a Real ID, you may be able to renew online instead.

Complete the DDS Mail-In Renewal Packet and mail it with the listed documents to DDS Special Issuance, 2206 Eastview Parkway, Conyers, GA 30013. Processing takes about 30 days, so send it early.

What you'll need

The completed renewal packet, a copy of your current license or ID, and military orders showing you are stationed outside Georgia.
