Georgia gives resident veterans one free combination hunting and fishing license, good for a year from the day it is issued. It covers hunting, big game, the Georgia Migratory Bird Stamp, salt and freshwater fishing, alligator hunting and mountain trout.

A copy of your DD214, your current Georgia driver’s license or ID card, and a hunter safety course completion certificate unless you are applying for fishing only.
