Tax Exemption for Military Retired Pay

Up to $17,500 under age 62, plus another $17,500 with at least $17,500 of earned income; up to $35,000 at ages 62 to 64; up to $65,000 at 65 and older

Georgia lets retired service members leave part of their military retired pay out of their state taxable income, and the amount you can exclude grows as you get older.
