File your initial claim on the Hawaii Department of Labor and Industrial Relations online claim portal, creating an account if you are a new user. The portal is open Monday to Friday 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time, and 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Your Social Security number; if you are not a U.S. citizen, your alien registration number, I-94 or unexpired passport number; employment information for the past 18 months including each employer’s name, address, zip code, phone number, dates of employment and reason for separation; your DD214 member copy 4 if you recently separated from the service; an SF8 or SF50 if you are a former federal employee; and your bank account and routing numbers for direct deposit.
