Idaho Disabled Veterans Special Big Game Tag Program

Idaho Division of Veterans Services, with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game
Free big game tag with licensing requirements waived; five tags available each year

Five big game tags a year are set aside so disabled veterans can take a once in a lifetime hunt for deer, elk, pronghorn, black bear or mountain lion. The tag is free and you are exempt from licensing requirements. The Idaho Division of Veterans Services screens all applicants and ranks them for the Idaho Department of Fish and Game: IDVS sponsors the top two candidates, and the other three tags go to candidates sponsored by a non-profit organization or a government agency.
