If you are injured, become ill, become disabled or die in the line of duty while serving on state active duty with the Idaho National Guard, you or your survivors are covered for medical care and compensation under Idaho workers' compensation law. Workers' compensation is not paid where a federal law or regulation provides similar benefits.

Report the injury, illness or death through your chain of command and file an Idaho workers' compensation claim.

What you'll need

Your state active duty orders, a line of duty determination, medical records for the injury or illness, and for a death claim the death certificate and proof of your relationship to the service member.

Eligibility

  • You are an Idaho National Guard service member serving on state active duty, or the survivor of one
  • You were injured, became ill or disabled, or died in the line of duty
  • The same benefit is not already provided to you under a federal law or regulation
