Idaho Professional License Fee Exemption and Protection for Service Members

Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses
Renewal fees waived and the license held in good standing until six months after discharge

While you serve in an active or reserve component of the U.S. Armed Forces, you do not pay renewal fees on your Idaho occupational or professional license. The license stays in good standing, does not need renewing, and cannot be cancelled, suspended or revoked. It stays valid until six months after your discharge.

How to apply

Notify the board that issued your license, or the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses at 208-334-3233 or dopl@dopl.idaho.gov, that you are serving, and give them a copy of your orders.

What you'll need

Your orders or other proof that you are serving in an active or reserve component, and your license details.

Eligibility

  • You hold an Idaho occupational or professional license
  • You are serving in an active or reserve component of the U.S. Armed Forces
