Idaho Reduced Fee Hunting and Fishing Licenses and Tags for Disabled Veterans

$5 resident or $31.75 nonresident disabled veteran license, with reduced tag and permit fees

With a VA service-connected disability rating of 40 percent or more you pay reduced fees for Idaho hunting and fishing licenses and tags, whether you live in Idaho or not. Resident fees are $5 for the Idaho Disabled Veteran License, $10.75 for a deer tag, $16.50 for an elk tag, $6.75 for a bear tag, $10.75 for a turkey tag and $3.75 for an archery or muzzleloader permit. Nonresident fees are $31.75 for the Idaho Nonresident Disabled Veteran License, which includes a three-day fishing license, $23.75 for a deer tag, $39.75 for an elk tag, $23.75 for a bear tag, $19.75 for a turkey tag and $5.75 for an archery or muzzleloader permit.

Bring your VA Benefit Summary Letter to an Idaho Department of Fish and Game regional office, or mail or email it to the Licensing Section, PO Box 25, Boise, ID 83707, or licenses@idfg.idaho.gov. For questions call 208-334-2592.
