Illinois Commercial Driver’s License Military Even Exchange

Illinois Secretary of State, Commercial Driver’s License Division
CDL knowledge and skills tests waived

If you hold one of a set of military driving specialties, Illinois waives both the knowledge and skills tests for your first commercial driver’s license, and may waive certain endorsement tests based on your experience. The qualifying specialties are Army 88M and 92F, Air Force 2T1, 2F0 and 3E2, Marine Corps 3531, and Navy EO. This is only for a first CDL, not for upgrades or restriction changes.
