Illinois Commercial Driver’s License Military Skills Test Waiver

Illinois Secretary of State, Commercial Driver’s License Division
CDL skills test waived

If you have military commercial driving training and experience but not one of the specialties that qualify for the Even Exchange, Illinois waives the skills test for your first commercial driver’s license. You still take the knowledge test and any endorsement test that requires a skills test. You have to have been licensed on a military vehicle similar to the commercial vehicle class you are applying for.
