Illinois Disabled Veterans' Property Tax Exemption for Specially Adapted Housing

Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs (IDVA)
$100,000 reduction in assessed value

If you got federal, state or charitable financial help to buy or modify a home for your disability, Illinois takes $100,000 off the assessed value of that home. The same exemption covers a mobile home owned and used only by a veteran with a disability or their spouse.
