Illinois Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children

Illinois State Board of Education, through the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission
Enrollment, placement, eligibility and graduation protections for military children

Illinois belongs to the interstate compact that smooths school transitions for military children. It speeds up enrollment when records have not arrived from the last district, keeps differences in attendance rules, scheduling, sequencing, grading, course content and assessment from holding your child back, protects eligibility for programs and for extracurricular academic, athletic and social activities, and helps your child graduate on time.
