Illinois Service Member Employment and Reemployment Rights Act

Office of the Illinois Attorney General, Military and Veterans Rights Bureau
Reemployment rights, benefit protection and anti-discrimination protection

State law protects your Illinois job and benefits while you serve. It gives you prompt reemployment when you return, bars discrimination against and interference with military service, and holds businesses to being model employers of reserve component members. The law also created an ISERRA advocate who can help both you and your employer understand your rights.
