Illinois Veteran Entrepreneurship Program

Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs (IDVA), with Illinois Department of Central Management Services
No-cost business training, outreach and one-on-one assistance

The state runs training, seminars and information sessions across Illinois for veterans starting or growing a business, and connects you to government agencies, schools, trade associations and business experts. At an event you get personal help with procurement, federal, state, county and city contracting, business plan development, Veteran Certification Enterprise application assistance, strategic growth planning, access to capital, and marketing and branding.

What you'll need

Your DD214 to establish veteran status, and your business details if you already have one.

Eligibility

  • You are a veteran, a military family member or a returning service member
  • You are starting or running a business in Illinois
