Active Duty, Veteran and Surviving Spouse Indicator for Indiana Driver Licenses and ID Cards

Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV)
No charge when added during a new issuance or renewal

You can have your service shown on your Indiana driver license or ID card: "V" for veterans, "AM" for active duty service members, and "VS" for surviving spouses. There is no charge if you add it when you get a new card or renew, but the usual fees apply if you add it to an unexpired card outside the normal renewal period.
