You can get an emergency grant if you are an Indiana veteran or the dependent of one and you are in genuine financial hardship. The money can go toward housing, utilities, food, medical services and basic transport such as car payments, insurance and emergency repairs. Grants are capped at $2,500 over your lifetime, though more may be authorised in exceptional circumstances.
