Indiana National Guard Supplemental Grant

Indiana National Guard Education Services Office, with the Indiana Commission for Higher Education
100 percent of tuition and regularly assessed fees at public institutions, or up to $5,000 a year at private non-profit institutions

Serving in the Indiana National Guard, you pay no tuition or regularly assessed fees at an Indiana public higher education institution, or you get up to $5,000 a year at an Indiana private non-profit college or university. You can attend full time or part time. Any other federal or state education assistance you have is applied first.

Contact your unit commander to apply, and submit all required paperwork for approval before classes start each semester.

What you'll need

Proof of active drilling status in the Indiana National Guard, evidence you are a high school graduate or have a GED, and a Free Application for Federal Student Aid on file.

Eligibility

  • You are an Indiana National Guard service member in active drilling status
  • You have not been absent without leave in the 12 months before your enrollment or during any academic term
  • You submit all required paperwork and receive approval before classes start each semester
  • You are a high school graduate or hold a GED
  • You submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid each year
  • You are pursuing your first associate, bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • You meet your institution’s satisfactory academic progress requirements
