You can claim temporary income if you lose your job through no fault of your own. It replaces part of your lost wages for a short period while you look for other work, and it is not based on financial need. File as soon as you become unemployed.
File your claim through the Indiana Department of Workforce Development Uplink online filing system. For help call the UI help line at 800-891-6499, use the department web chat, or email AskUI@dwd.in.gov.
Your email address, name, date of birth and address, Social Security number, driver licence or state ID card, the name, address, phone number and start and end dates for every employer from the last two years and why each job ended, pay stubs from your most recent employer, pension, retirement, 401(k), vacation, severance and paid time off information, details of any work in another state, union information and dues paid through date if you work through a union, and workers compensation information and date of injury if that applies.
