Indiana Wartime Veterans High School Diploma Program

Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs (IDVA)
High school diploma awarded

If you left an Indiana high school before graduating to serve in World War I, World War II, Korea or Vietnam, Indiana will award you a high school diploma. Diplomas can also be awarded posthumously.

How to apply

Submit the IDVA Application for Delayed High School Diploma, with a copy of your military separation papers, to the address on the application.

What you'll need

Your DD214 or WD AGO form showing service in a qualifying period and an honorable discharge, and the completed application.

Eligibility

  • You were a student in good standing at an Indiana high school and did not graduate because you entered the U.S. Armed Forces
  • You served between April 6, 1917 and November 11, 1918, between December 7, 1941 and December 31, 1946, between June 27, 1950 and January 31, 1955, or between August 5, 1964 and May 7, 1975
  • You received an honorable discharge
