Kansas National Guard and U.S. Armed Forces Reserve Service Members Activation Payment

One-time $1,500 payment

You get a one-time payment of $1,500 as a Kansas state employee when you are called to active duty for 30 continuous days or more. Payments are made retroactively to everyone eligible who has been activated since September 11, 2001.

What you'll need

Your activation orders showing full-time duty of more than 30 consecutive days in support of a military operation.

Eligibility

  • You are a Kansas state employee
  • You are serving in the National Guard or the U.S. Armed Forces Reserves
  • You were activated to full-time duty after September 11, 2001 and were mobilized and deployed for more than 30 consecutive days in support of a military operation to defend the United States
