Kansas State Veterans' Cemeteries

Kansas Office of Veterans Services (KOVS)
No cost burial for veterans and eligible family members

Kansas runs four veterans cemeteries: Fort Dodge at 11560 US Highway 400, WaKeeney at 403 South 13th Street, Winfield at 1208 North College Street, and Fort Riley/Manhattan at 5181 Wildcat Creek Road. They offer casket burial, a columbarium niche for cremated remains and a scattering garden. There is no fee for burying a veteran or an eligible family member. Fees apply only if your family declines the state-provided double-depth grave liner or the casket is oversized. There is no Kansas residency requirement.
