Three free overnight stays a calendar year, up to three nights each

Kentucky resident veterans, National Guard and Reserve members with a 100 percent service-connected disability stay free at Kentucky State Parks. You get up to three overnight stays a calendar year, each up to three nights. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day and during October, your stay has to start and end inside the five-day Sunday to Thursday window; outside those periods any days of the week work, subject to availability. The free room, cottage or campsite covers only the space you occupy yourself.

Book with Kentucky State Parks and tell them you are claiming the disabled veteran free accommodation, then show proof of your disability at check in.

What you'll need

Proof you are a Kentucky resident and VA documentation of a 100 percent service-connected disability, to show at check in.

Eligibility

  • You are a Kentucky resident
  • You are a veteran, National Guard service member or U.S. Armed Forces Reserve service member with a 100 percent service-connected disability
  • You show proof of your disability at check in
  • If you are booking between Memorial Day and Labor Day or during October, your stay starts and ends within a Sunday to Thursday five-day period
