Full exemption from all ad valorem property taxes

You are exempt from all ad valorem property taxes on your home if your husband or wife died while serving on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces or the Louisiana National Guard. If you move to a new property you keep the exemption, but only up to the amount of the exemption you had on the first property.
