Louisiana Toll and Parking Fee Exemption for Disabled Veterans

Louisiana toll bridge, ferry and state parking facility operators, under state law
Ferry and bridge tolls and state parking fees waived

A private vehicle you drive as a disabled veteran does not have to pay tolls on ferries or bridges, or fees at parking facilities the state owns or operates. The exemption does not cover the Crescent City Connection bridges or ferries.

How to apply

There is nothing to apply for. Carry your proof of disabled veteran status and show it when you are asked to pay. A Disabled Veteran license plate or the disabled veteran designation on your license makes this easier.

What you'll need

Your VA disability documentation, or a Louisiana Disabled Veteran license plate or disabled veteran designation on your driver’s license.

Eligibility

  • You are a disabled veteran
  • You are operating a private vehicle
  • You are using a ferry or bridge, or a parking facility owned or operated by the state of Louisiana
