Maine Commercial Driver License Test Waivers

Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles
Knowledge and skills tests waived under even exchange, or the skills test waived on experience

Maine waives commercial driver license testing based on your military driving experience. Under the even exchange option, both the knowledge and skills tests are waived if you worked in the past year in one of these specialties: Army 88M, 92F or 14T; Air Force 2T1, 2F0 or 3E2; Marine Corps 3531; or Navy EO. If you have military commercial driving experience without one of those specialties, the skills test alone is waived when you have been licensed for at least two years on a military vehicle similar to the class you want. School bus and passenger endorsements cannot be transferred either way.
