Maine Hunter Safety Course Exemption for Active Duty Service Members

Hunter, archery and crossbow safety course requirements waived

If you are a Maine resident on active duty permanently stationed outside the United States, you do not have to complete the hunter, archery or crossbow safety courses while you are home on leave.

What you'll need

Your orders showing you are permanently stationed outside the United States, your leave paperwork, and proof of Maine residency.

Eligibility

  • You are a Maine resident serving on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces
  • You are permanently stationed outside the United States
  • You are home on leave
