Maine State Parks and Museum Free Lifetime Pass for Veterans

Free lifetime day-use admission to state parks, museums and historic sites

Maine resident veterans can get a free lifetime day-use pass for state parks, museums and historic sites run by the state. It is not valid at Acadia National Park, Baxter State Park, the Allagash Wilderness Waterway, the Penobscot Corridor, the Penobscot Narrows Observatory or the Maine Wildlife Park.

How to apply

Complete the Veteran Lifetime State Park and Museum Pass form and submit it online, or mail it with your DD214 to Maine Bureau of Veterans’ Services, 117 State House Station, Augusta ME 04333-0117. Processing takes about two to three weeks. For questions call 207-430-6035 or email mainebvs@maine.gov.

What you'll need

The completed pass form and a copy of your DD214 showing an honorable discharge or a general discharge under honorable conditions.
