You get a $300 bonus if you served on active duty between 1976 and 1989 or between 1992 and 2000 and were awarded the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for taking part in combat operations when no other bonus was available.

What you'll need

Your DD214 showing the qualifying service, your Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal citation, and proof you lived in Massachusetts for the six months before you entered the U.S. Armed Forces.

Eligibility

  • You lived in Massachusetts for the six months immediately before you entered the U.S. Armed Forces
  • You served on active duty between 1976 and 1989, or between 1992 and 2000
  • You were awarded the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for participation in combat operations
  • You did not receive another Massachusetts bonus for that service
