Massachusetts Military Friends Foundation, with the Massachusetts National Guard
Financial assistance for hardship caused by activation or extended deployment

You can get financial help if you serve in the Massachusetts National Guard, or are a Massachusetts resident in the Reserves called to active duty after September 11, 2001, and the activation or an extended deployment caused you financial hardship. Families of Massachusetts resident service members killed while serving on active duty may also be eligible.

What you'll need

Your activation or deployment orders, documentation of the financial hardship and how it follows from the activation, and casualty documentation if you are applying as a family member.

Eligibility

  • You serve in the Massachusetts National Guard, you are a Massachusetts resident serving in the U.S. Armed Forces Reserves who was called to active duty after September 11, 2001, or you are the family member of a Massachusetts resident service member killed while serving on active duty
  • Your financial hardship is a direct result of the activation or an extended deployment
