Massachusetts Veterans' Bonuses

$100 to $2,000 depending on the conflict and where you served

Massachusetts pays one-time cash bonuses to resident service members and honorably discharged veterans who served during particular conflicts, in single or multiple deployments. Amounts range from $100 to $2,000 depending on the conflict, where you served and how long. For every bonus you must have lived in Massachusetts for the six months immediately before you entered the U.S. Armed Forces.

Apply through the Massachusetts Veterans' Bonus Division for the specific bonus you qualify for. Before you apply, check the Veterans' Bonus Inquiry page to see whether a bonus was already issued. What you'll need

Your DD214 or other discharge documentation showing your service dates and locations, and proof you lived in Massachusetts for the six months before you entered service.

Eligibility

  • You lived in Massachusetts for the six months immediately before you entered the U.S. Armed Forces
  • You served during one of the conflicts the bonus program covers
  • You have not already received a bonus for that period of service
