Honorably discharged veterans can get a Veterans’ license plate and choose a flag decal, a branch of service decal, or up to four wartime service decals to display on it.

Bring the completed Application for Veteran’s Plates with Branch of Service Decal or Flag Image and the documentation it lists to a full-service Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles location.

What you'll need

The completed application and your DD214 or other discharge documentation showing the qualifying service.

Eligibility

You are a Massachusetts resident
You received an honorable discharge
You served at least 180 days on active duty, not counting active duty for training, or you served at least 90 days on active duty with one day during wartime, not counting active duty for training
