Michigan Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children

Michigan Department of Education, through the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission
Enrollment, placement, eligibility and graduation protections for military children

Michigan belongs to the interstate compact that smooths school transitions for military children. It speeds up enrollment when records have not arrived from the previous district, keeps differences in attendance rules, scheduling, sequencing, grading, course content and assessment from holding your child back, protects eligibility for educational programs and extracurricular activities, and helps your child graduate on time.
