Michigan Unemployment Insurance

Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency, Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity
Partial, short-term wage replacement

You can claim temporary income if you lose your job through no fault of your own. Payments partly replace your lost wages while you look for other work, are not based on financial need, and are paid for entirely by employers. Benefits start the week you file your claim, so file during your first week of unemployment.
