Up to five years of retirement credit at 8.5 percent of annualized vesting year salary per year

You can buy up to five years of Public Employees’ Retirement System credit for active duty service in the U.S. Armed Forces. The credit does not count toward becoming eligible to retire, but it does raise the monthly benefit you are paid after you retire.
