Minnesota Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Military Test Waivers

Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Driver and Vehicle Services (DVS)
CDL knowledge and skills tests waived, or the skills test alone

Minnesota waives commercial driver’s license testing based on your military training and experience. The Even Exchange Program waives both the knowledge and skills tests if you worked in the past year in one of these military occupational specialties or ratings: Army 88M, 92F or 14T; Air Force 2T1, 2F0 or 3E2; Marine Corps 3531; or Navy EO. The CDL Skills Waiver waives only the skills test and is for members with military commercial driving training and experience who do not hold one of those specialties, as long as you have been licensed for at least two years on a military vehicle like the commercial class you are applying for.
