If you or a surviving spouse live in an area the Governor of Minnesota has declared a State of Emergency, MDVA may help with repairs and related expenses through the Disaster Relief Grant.

How to apply

Call LinkVet at 1-888-546-5838 or contact your County Veteran Service Officer after a gubernatorial emergency declaration that covers your area. Ask for the Disaster Relief Grant.

What you'll need

Your DD214 or discharge papers, proof you live in the declared emergency area, and estimates or bills for the repairs or expenses you need covered.

Eligibility

You are a Minnesota veteran, or the surviving spouse of one
You live in an area the Governor of Minnesota has declared a State of Emergency
