Minnesota DNR License-Free Hunting, Fishing and Ski Trails for Resident Service Members on Leave

Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR)
No license fees for small game, deer, bear, turkey, wolf, fishing or ski trails while on leave

While you are home on leave you can hunt small game with no license and no Minnesota waterfowl or pheasant stamp, hunt deer, bear, wild turkey and wolf without charge once you have the appropriate licenses and tags, fish without a license, and use ski trails without a ski pass. You still need a federal duck stamp to hunt waterfowl, bonus permits are not included, and free sturgeon tags are only available from the DNR License Center in St. Paul.
