Minnesota Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children

Minnesota Department of Education, through the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission
Enrollment, placement, eligibility and graduation protections for military children

Minnesota belongs to the interstate compact that removes barriers for children of military families who move often. It speeds up enrollment when records have not transferred yet, keeps differences between states in attendance requirements, scheduling, sequencing, grading, course content and assessment from disadvantaging your child, protects eligibility for enrollment, educational programs and extracurricular academic, athletic and social activities, and works toward on-time graduation.
