Minnesota Market Value Exclusion on Homestead Property for Primary Family Caregivers

Local Minnesota county assessor’s office
$150,000 of market value excluded when the veteran is rated 70 to 99 percent, or $300,000 at 100 percent total and permanent

As the primary family caregiver of a disabled veteran you can have part of your own home’s market value taken out of the property tax calculation. It is $150,000 when the veteran you care for has a rating of at least 70 percent but less than 100 percent, and $300,000 when the veteran has a 100 percent total and permanent rating.
