You can have a motorcycle endorsement added to your Minnesota driver’s license while you are serving outside the state.

Mail in the completed application with proof that you passed the motorcycle knowledge and skills tests. Request an out-of-state application packet by calling 651-201-7777 or emailing dvs.driverslicense@state.mn.us.

Proof that you passed the motorcycle knowledge and skills tests, and the completed mail-in application.

Eligibility

You are serving on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces
You are serving outside Minnesota
You hold a Minnesota driver’s license
You have passed the motorcycle knowledge and skills tests
