Contact the Minnesota National Guard, and the nearest County or Tribal Veterans Service Officer, to file for the death compensation.

What you'll need

The service member’s state active duty orders, the death certificate, a line of duty determination, and proof of your relationship to them.

Eligibility

  • You are a beneficiary of a Minnesota National Guard service member
  • The service member died as a result of service on state active duty
