The Voucher Deposit Assistance Program (VDAP) helps a veteran or surviving spouse pay a deposit so they can get permanent housing.

Call LinkVet at 1-888-546-5838 or contact your County Veteran Service Officer and ask for Voucher Deposit Assistance. MDVA Benefits Specialists are also at 651-296-2562 or Benefits.MDVA@state.mn.us.

What you'll need

Your DD214 or discharge papers, and the housing paperwork that shows the deposit you need to move into permanent housing. Income and asset rules apply.

Eligibility

You are a Minnesota veteran, or the unremarried surviving spouse of one
You need a deposit to obtain permanent housing
