Missouri Commercial Driver License Military Even Exchange

Missouri Department of Revenue, Motor Vehicle and Driver Licensing Division
CDL knowledge and skills testing both waived

If you served in one of the designated military occupational specialties, Missouri will waive both the knowledge and skills testing requirements when you apply for a commercial driver license. The qualifying specialties are Army 88M, 14T and 92F, Air Force 2T1, 2F0 and 3E2, Marine Corps 3531, and Navy EO.

Submit the Missouri Department of Revenue Application for Military CDL Even Exchange, Form 5800, when you apply for your CDL.

What you'll need

Documentation of your military occupational specialty, and proof that you were regularly employed in the year before you apply in a job requiring you to operate a commercial motor vehicle and operated that vehicle for the two years immediately before you left the military.

Eligibility

  • You are a current or former service member who served in Army 88M, 14T or 92F, Air Force 2T1, 2F0 or 3E2, Marine Corps 3531, or Navy EO
  • You were regularly employed within one year before you apply in a job requiring you to operate a commercial motor vehicle
  • You operated that vehicle for at least the two years immediately before you separated from the military
