Highway interchange, bridge or highway section named in the service member's honor

A state-maintained highway interchange, bridge or portion of highway can be designated in honor of a Missouri resident service member who was killed in action. Families and communities apply for the designation.

Complete the Missouri Department of Transportation Heroes Way naming application and submit it as the instructions on the form direct. For more information, call 573-751-7643.

What you'll need

Documentation that the service member was killed in action, proof of their Missouri residency, and the completed naming application.

Eligibility

  • The service member was a Missouri resident
  • The service member was killed in action while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces
  • You are applying to have a state-maintained highway interchange, bridge or portion of highway designated in their honor
