You get in-state residency status for tuition at any Missouri public four-year college or university, and in-district residency status at any public two-year institution, if you are a current member of the Missouri National Guard or the U.S. Armed Forces Reserves.

Tell the admissions or registrar office at the Missouri public institution you attend that you are claiming residency for tuition purposes as a current reserve component member, and show your service documentation.

What you'll need

Proof of your current Missouri National Guard or U.S. Armed Forces Reserve membership, such as your military ID or a unit memorandum.

  • You are enrolled at a Missouri public institution of higher education
