Missouri Property Tax Credit for 100 Percent Disabled Veterans

Missouri Department of Revenue, with county assessor offices for property records
Up to $750 for renters and up to $1,100 for homeowners

You can claim a credit for part of the real estate tax or rent you paid for the year if you have a 100 percent service-connected disability rating from the VA. The credit is up to $750 if you rent and up to $1,100 if you own your home, and it is limited by household income.

How to apply

The source says to contact the county assessor's office where the property is located. The credit itself is claimed on a Missouri Property Tax Credit claim filed with the Department of Revenue, so check the qualification chart and confirm with the Department of Revenue before relying on the county.

What you'll need

Your VA letter showing a 100 percent service-connected disability rating, your paid real estate tax receipts or rent receipts for the year, and your income information.
