Montana Hunting and Fishing License Reduction for Purple Heart Recipients

Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks
Fishing and game bird hunting with only a conservation license and an aquatic invasive species pass

As a resident Purple Heart recipient you can fish and hunt game birds, other than wild turkeys, with only a Wildlife Conservation License and a Resident Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Pass. No other licenses are needed. A nonresident Purple Heart recipient gets the same treatment, but only on expeditions arranged by a nonprofit that uses fishing and hunting to rehabilitate disabled veterans, and buys a Nonresident Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Pass instead.
