Montana Veteran Affairs Division awards $1,000 scholarships to Purple Heart recipients who are Montana residents and who have already completed a full academic year, full-time or part-time, at an accredited Montana state university or state vocational or technical school with at least a 2.0 GPA, and who have re-enrolled to continue.
Download the Purple Heart Scholarship application from the Montana Veteran Affairs Division page and submit it with your DD214 (or other authentic discharge that lists the Purple Heart). MVAD awards more than one of these scholarships each year.
An authentic DD214 or other authentic military discharge that lists the Purple Heart, proof of Montana residency, and school records showing a full academic year already completed with at least a 2.0 GPA and that you have re-enrolled.
